Awesome!
There's no other word that could best describe MusiCamp 2008...and our campers agree, during the 5-day event held last April 19-23, the accommodations & camp facilities were awesome, the unlimited servings during meals were awesome, the world-class speakers were awesome and the challenge-bringing speakers were awesome.
All this awesomeness was of course made possible by our Awesome God, whose spirit worked wonders throughout the event and whose power transformed lives, not just of the 100 campers but also of staff members and teachers alike.
Some of the highlights of MusiCamp 2008 include the Ultimate Christian Artist competition where we saw several youth come out of their shells to deliver amazing performances all for the glory of God; the Battle of the Bands competition where competition was put aside and where new worship leaders were developed; the moment when several campers came forward to accept Christ or the challenge to serve Him; and the evening around a bonfire where everyone broke into groups to fellowship with one another.
As much as it was about training, exposure, and fun, MusiCamp is also about worship, fellowship and transformation; responding to God with the POTENTIAL He has gifted us with, utilizing as fuel our PASSION for Him, and surrendering our lives to Him as an act of PRAISE allowing Him to work in and through us and transforming us in the process.
This coming Sunday (June 1) we're holding a post camp rally to be able to introduce MusiCamp to other churches and to make announcements for MusiCamp 2009 which takes place less than a year from now in Baguio City. The event will be held at the Fairview Baptist Church at 2 in the afternoon. See you there!
